His award-winning story followed up on individuals who participated in a Pfizer meningitis vaccine trial over twenty years ago in Kano, northern Nigeria. Many of the victims continue to endure side effects from the trial and have yet to receive compensation. Despite this, Pfizer declared the matter resolved in 2016.
